Gameplay – Build power plants and trade electricity to become the first to fulfill the energy transition!

During your journey, you face realistic challenges: explosive growth of electricity demand, protests in your region, negotiations with other regions, and decisions between technologies…

So what will you do? Shut down your coal plants faster, risking blackouts or relying on coal for longer, risking losing the game and instigating climate change.

• You have to invest in Power Plants to run your economy
• Once you build a deck of Technology Cards Trade and Negotiate in energy markets
• Build a European Power Grid by connecting regions
• Bid in auctions to close Coal Power Plants and lead the energy transition

Goal – The game’s goal is to raise public awareness regarding the energy transition. This is critical in order to preserve the planet’s habitability for future generations. The developers are energy lovers who created Gigawatt as a side project and want you to enjoy a fun and immersive transition experience.
