What are the basic terms used at GadgetAny?

GadgetAny uses many terms that are crucial to understand so our backers and creators can navigate through our platform easily.

Project: A crowdfunding campaign created to raise funds for an innovative idea or gadget. This might be a work of art or a brand-new invention.

Contribution: The financial fund/amount provided by a backer to bring a project/idea/gadget to real life.

Rewards: Incentives that creators provide to backers in return for their financial support. These could be anything from a project-related good or to service offerings or a Thank You Card.

Backers: People who contribute money to support projects. Backers are crucial to the success of any crowdfunding effort, as their contributions provide the financial resources needed to bring a project to life.

Creators: The person or team who created the project to raise funds for their goal. 

Ongoing: A provision/feature that allows creators to raise funds even after any project crosses its deadline.

Funds: The money raised by a project through contributions from backers.

Timeline: Timeline is the planned schedule for the project made by the creators so backers can know about the schedule and sequence of events from the initial preparation to the campaign's conclusion and fulfillment. 

Updates: Progress Reports/Announcements, status updates, and other details that the creator shares with backers at different stages of the project.

Story: The concept, objectives, and purpose of the project that are explained and described on the project page is the story.

Comments: Feedback or messages left by backers on a project page. Backers can leave messages on a project page to ask questions, provide criticism, or discuss the project with the creator and other backers.

Add Ons: Additional features or rewards backers can choose to purchase alongside their initial contribution.

Media Kit:  A collection of project-related visual assets (pictures, films) that are often utilized for promotional purposes.

Funding Goal: The total amount of money a creator is trying to raise for their project.

Funds Raised: The amount of money contributed by backers towards a project's funding target.

Main Image: The primary image representing the project displayed on the project page.

Project Duration: The duration of a project campaign during which backers can make contributions.
