According to Chinese official media, the National Security Agency (NSA) of the USA allegedly got access to China's communications network. The U.S. agency penetrated the network to "manage the country's infrastructure," according to a source the Global Times claimed. The NSA employed phishing, a hacking method in which an email contains a malicious link. According to the Global Times, which cited an unknown source, NSA carried out the attack to get access to the government-funded Northwestern Polytechnical University. "Core technical data," including "essential network equipment configuration, network management data, and core operational data," as well as other files were stolen by American hackers. Chinese Media Foreign hackers sent phishing emails to teachers and students in an effort to obtain personal information, according to a June announcement from China's Northwestern Polytechnical University, which is well-known for its aviation, aerospace, and navigation programmes. A Chinese technical team's study revealed that the NSA's Tailored Access Operations (TAO), a hacking division, was responsible for the university's breach. China has been accusing the United States of cyberattacks for a while, but without providing any details. However, as tensions between the two countries in the cybersphere have risen in recent weeks, Beijing has become more outspoken in attributing specific assaults to the U.S.
