Electric vehicle conversion available for Jeep Grand Wagoneer originals

Jeep will launch an electric Wagoneer by 2024. The Electric vehicle was previewed last week using the near-production Wagoneer S Concept. The Ghost Garage, a Michigan startup, is working on converting the iconic SUV into an electric vehicle. The conversion will not be complete until next year. However, The Ghost Garage has confirmed that the Ghost Garage can provide a range of over 250 miles and a peak output of 500 horsepower. The company will be using Grand Wagoneers, which are from the model years 1989-1991 of the SJ generation. The order books are open now, and a fully restored vehicle costs $290,000. Although that seems high, The Ghost Garage will complete the restoration and swap the Electric motor for an electric vehicle. According to the company, the repair will include safety upgrades and extend to the interior. The warranty will also be included. Tim Smith, CEO of Osiris, co-founded The Ghost Garage. His specialists will work on The Grand Wagoneer and future conversions for The Ghost Garage. Smith stated that a new generation of buyers is entering the classic car market, looking for a combination of technology and tradition. As a result, ghost Garage was created to offer the same quality and efficiency as luxury automobile brands.
