18 Most Satisfying 2023 Vehicles According to Consumer Reports

You're undoubtedly delighted to check out the new features that your old car lacked and can't wait to drive it around. It's thrilling! However, the enthusiasm only sometimes persists. Occasionally you learn aspects of the automobile you purchased that you simply despise. If you're looking for a new car and want to prevent regret, Consumer Reports has produced a list of the vehicles its customers find the most gratifying to own in each group.

Electric Vehicles: Rivian R1T

Not everyone requires a truck, but those who purchase a Rivian R1T appear to adore them. We're also big fans, so it makes sense. If you don't need a truck bed, there's always the R1S.

Hybrid Cars: Toyota Camry Hybrid

It'll be fascinating to see how this list evolves in the coming year, now that the new Honda Accord is on the market. Yet, for the time being, the Toyota Camry Hybrid is the clear winner. Who can argue with an EPA-rated combined fuel economy of 46 mpg?

Hybrid SUVs: Toyota RAV4 Prime

This one isn't unexpected given how much they are going for these days. The Toyota RAV4 Prime is more than simply a fuel-efficient vehicle. It also has an EPA-estimated range of 42 miles.

Compact Cars: Mazda Mazda3

Given that Consumer Reports readers chose the winner, you'd assume a Corolla or Civic would have won the small vehicle category. But they adore the Mazda3. We can't blame them.

Midsize/Large Cars: Toyota Camry

It is more in line with what we expected from Consumer Reports. That's not always a terrible thing. The Toyota Camry is well-rounded and far superior to its predecessor.

Compact Luxury Cars: Genesis G70

Clearly, the Genesis G70 looks amazing, but we're glad to hear that customers like owning it as well. Especially considering Elantra and Santa Fe dealers aren't exactly known for providing luxury-quality servicing.

Midsize/Large Luxury Cars: Genesis G80

Normally, you'd expect to see a lot of Toyotas and Lexuses on a list like this, but Genesis receives a lot of love as well. Yet, regardless of your feelings about the wheels, there's no denying the Genesis G80 looks stunning.

Sporty Cars: Chevrolet Corvette

America’s best! Take that, expensive German and Italian automobiles. When it comes to fun to drive vehicles, the Chevrolet Corvette is unrivaled.

Minivans: Toyota Sienna

The competition in the minivan category isn't what it used to be, so we're grateful that a few automakers continue to offer them. And if you want to be happy with your minivan purchase, the Toyota Sienna is the way to go.

Subcompact SUVs: Subaru Crosstrek

Many love to moan about how sluggish the Subaru Crosstrek is, but among those who don't believe that's an issue, the Crosstrek is still a winner. Those who said it was too sluggish presumably didn't buy one.

Compact SUVs: Subaru Forester

Consumer Reports readers once again express their support for Subaru. To be fair, the Subaru Forester does pretty much everything a crossover in its market should do well.

Midsize Two-Row SUVs: Ford Bronco

You could buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, but they have been on the road for a long time. The Ford Bronco is a brand-new and thrilling vehicle. Those that buy them are evidently still quite amazed. Midsize/Large Three-Row SUVs: Kia Telluride

The Kia Telluride received yet another honor. Who cares if it's virtually cliché at this point? The Telluride hit the ball out of the park.

Compact Luxury SUVs: Genesis GV70

When it came to getting their GV70 serviced, it appears that the Genesis dealer experience did not dampen many people's spirits. Because it outperformed the Mercedes GLC and the BMW X3.

Midsize/Large Luxury SUVs: Porsche Cayenne

The latest Porsche Cayenne is about as excellent as it gets in terms of luxury crossovers, so it's refreshing to see that represented in Consumer Reports' rankings. You must spend a high amount to obtain one, but if you can afford it, you will not be disappointed.

Compact Pickup Trucks: Ford Maverick

Is this a little truck? Not at all. The Ford Maverick, on the other hand, is little in comparison to the F-150. And we like having additional vehicle alternatives that aren't monstrous. Also, it is a more conventional truck than the Hyundai Santa Cruz.

Midsize Pickup Trucks: Honda Ridgeline

It's not surprising that Consumer Reports readers favor the Honda Ridgeline. Even if it lacks "true truck" credentials, it is superbly constructed and far more comfortable to drive than its body-on-frame competitors.

Full-Size Pickup Trucks: Toyota Tundra

The Toyota Tundra is divisive in terms of design. Yet there's no reason to believe that the new one won't be as trustworthy as its predecessor. Purchasing one when you require a full-size pickup vehicle is almost risk-free.
