4 distinctive qualities of the sporty electric SUV, the Kia EV6

Given its relatively high US$48,700 price tag, the performance EV stands out in the expanding electric SUV segment for a number of reasons and is a surprisingly well-rounded vehicle. 1. Built-in power The ability to export power to items you need to use while traveling is one of the underappreciated advantages of having a sizable high-output battery inside your car. This is what Kia refers to as an onboard power generator, and Zecar claims that it can manage loads of up to 3.6 kW, which is sufficient to run many powerful gaming computers. Lightning-quick acceleration, especially from RWD trims Even the EV6's base trim, the Wind RWD, has a respectable 225 horsepower output motor, but the EV6 quickly raises the bar with the 320 horsepower AWD Wind trim and reaches an absurdly high 576 horsepower AWD GT at the top. With the GT, you can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in as low as 3.2 seconds, which was previously only possible with supercars. According to MotorTrend's tests, the base Wind model accelerates more slowly and reaches 60 mph in about 6.5 seconds. 3. The infotainment system comes close to greatness but falls just short. One of the most common — and perhaps dangerous — trends in the EV market is stripped-back infotainment and control systems, which the EV6 only marginally avoids. A number of capacitive touch buttons with haptic responses are present instead of traditional push buttons underneath the huge, central infotainment screen. Eye-catching looks Although appearances are subjective, there's no denying that the EV6 is eye-catching, especially given that it technically belongs to the compact SUV category. The Volkswagen ID.4 and the Kia Niro EV, two of its slower and less expensive stablemates, appear to have been developed in a different era than the EV6. In addition to communicating its remarkable performance, the EV6's muscular appearance also makes a nice difference from the Hyundai Ioniq 5's nerdy appearance.
