The Radeon 780M iGPU will benefit from LPDDR5x-7500 RAM with capacities up to 256 GB, according to the specification sheet. Similar combinations are anticipated from Asus, Minisforum, and Morefine in the months of June and July. The small PC community is eagerly awaiting information on the first models to utilize the Ryzen 7040 series, even if the first laptops with AMD's "Phoenix" CPUs sporting Zen 4 cores and potent RDNA 3 iGPUs are currently available in limited quantities. Fans of small PCs should only have to wait until May, according to GMK's leaked Reddit slides. MiniPCs Photo Credit: Reddit According to the slides shared by Redditor u/andyzoooo, Minisforum and Morefine will also likely produce similarly equipped small PCs between June and July. Yesterday, Minisforum requested the Discord community to recommend specifications for the future Ryzen 9 7940H variants. The Asus PN53 series, which was unveiled last year, is also mentioned, along with the already-available Ryzen processors. According to one of GMK's slides, the Ryzen 7 7840H and Ryzen 9 7940H processors, both of which include the potent Radeon 780M GPU with 12 RDNA 3 cores, will be found in the company's forthcoming small PCs. These, according to GMK, would be almost 20% faster than the Ryen 6000 series from a year ago, and the iGPU would be nearly 30% quicker because of the newly supported LPDDR5x-7500 RAM. Accordingly, the 780M is about as quick as an Nvidia GTX 1660 dGPU. Curiously, the new tiny PCs seem to accept up to 4X soldered RAM modules, making capacities up to 256 GB feasible. You can configure the Ryzen 9 7940H processor to operate at 80 W TDP. The GMK slides highlight the inclusion of a USB4 port, two HDMI connectors, and four USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports when it comes to port options. According to various suggestions from the Discord community, Minisforum may choose 2x USB4. The GMK slides indicate that the Ryzen 7040 models should cost at least 3000 Yuan, or $433 USD, in terms of price. However, given that these devices only include RAM that has been soldered, the pricing seems excessively low. The R7 7840H would realistically cost at least US$600, while the R9 7940H will probably start at US$800.
