The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 chipset is expected to power the next Nothing Phone (2), which will be the predecessor of the Nothing Phone (1). A significant improvement over the current generation, for sure. Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, confirmed during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona that the upcoming Nothing Phone will have a more potent chipset when it launches this year. Nothing CEO disclosed that their next-generation Android phone will switch from a mid-range chipset to a flagship processor in response to the most recent report from XDA Developers. It is important to note that the Snapdragon 778G+, a mid-range Qualcomm processor, powers the Nothing Phone (1), the company's first smartphone. But things are going to alter significantly this time as the Nothing Phone (2) prepares to make its debut later this 2023. The head of Nothing, Pei, who also co-founded OnePlus, announced that their phone will receive a flagship processor during the jam-packed MWC 2023 event. The new phone has a Snapdragon 8 processor. Yet, some believe that Nothing will support the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. At days, this chipset drives the most recent flagships, such as the OnePlus 11 and the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Nothing might unexpectedly choose a different path and use the older Gen 1. In addition to confirming the Nothing Phone (2) chipset, Pei revealed that they intend to introduce a new product early next month, namely in March. There are now three products available from the phone manufacturer: the Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Ear (1), and the Nothing Ear (stick). But, Pei claims that they will make the announcement within the next few days, so it won't be long before the new product is available. It's improbable that the upcoming item that Nothing intends to release in March will be the Nothing Phone (2).
