Using images from Android in Word or PowerPoint is not a headache anymore

The ability to easily integrate photographs from your Android smartphone into a web-based Word or PowerPoint project is a capability that Microsoft is currently rolling out to Office Insiders

The Phone Link app, which Microsoft updated back in March, already allows users to move files between Windows PCs and Android devices, but this is the first time Microsoft has integrated this functionality directly into one of its apps.

Open a web-based Word or PowerPoint document, then select Insert > Pictures > Mobile Device to get started. You’ll need to take the extra steps to connect your Android device to your PC if you haven’t already.

In order to do this, you must first scan the QR code that shows on your computer screen and, if you haven’t already, download the Link to Windows app from the Google Play Store.

After that is complete, you can use your PC to look through the photographs on your Android device and decide which ones you wish to include in the Word or PowerPoint document.

According to Microsoft, the feature will be “delivered over time to ensure everything is working well.”
