(Image credit- Wave FM) Coca-Cola, one of the most well-known soda firms in the world, made a startling move by introducing a new taste named Y3000, which is the company's most recent limited-edition flavor. The most important twist in this story is that Coca-Cola asked a generative AI to give them the recipe and then used the AI's recommendations for what to put on the drink. Coca-Cola Y3000 is known  as “the first futuristic flavor co-created with human and artificial intelligence.”

Coca-Cola has released a new flavor from its extensive lineup of sodas, and this limited-edition beverage is created using generative artificial intelligence (AI).  According to the reports, the process of making this futuristic drink took two steps. At first,  the researchers at Coca-Cola gathered the “key flavor preferences and trends to understand what consumers imagine and think the future tastes like." After that, this information was taken by Coke’s artificial intelligence system to “help develop flavor profiles and pairings.”   [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Coca-Cola Y3000: The Mystery Flavor Created by AI Image credit- BOL News[/caption] With a focus on the drink's distinctive flavor and the aesthetics of its containers, the company is naming this as the Coca-Cola Y3000 and describes it as being "from the future."
In addition to this, the Coca-Cola can's design is also designed by AI which interprets the futuristic packaging, with a pixelated logo, clean chrome colors, and a tinge of purple, pink, and blue.
According to Oana Vlad, Senior Director of Global Strategy in the Coca-Cola company stated that “Inspired by the timelessness of Coca-Cola, we want to celebrate everyone’s idea of what the future might look like." Vlad further said, “With the help of AI-powered technology, Coca-Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar imagines how a Coca-Cola from the future could taste and introduces innovative experiences to explore the future.” Also read: WhatsApp Testing AI-Generated Stickers For Its Upcoming Update

What Does the Coca-Cola Y3000 Limited Edition Taste Like?

According to Coca-Cola, the Y3000 taste comes in two variations: Regular and Zero sugar, which are well known for being the two standout deals from the brand.  [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="1600"]AI created Coca-Cola's newest flavor: The Y3000 soda 'from the future' Image credit- Ars Technica[/caption] The Y3000 is described in online reviews as tasting like "raspberry slushy," although the taste ultimately depends on the individual who consumes it and how they interpret the beverage. The world currently has a sweet and sour relationship with artificial intelligence (AI), in part because some individuals are conflicted about their support for cutting-edge technology and some people are still averse to what it can do for everyone. But generative AI has not just entered the internet or online media industries; it is increasingly expanding its application to mundane tasks like housework. One illustration is the newest culinary app from the South Korean electronics behemoth, "Samsung Food," which offers up to 160,000 recipes that can be used. The nation is seeing a big soda war as several leading businesses compete to provide the public with ground-breaking deals while retaining their current offerings and providing for all customers. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola has now accepted the future and welcomed a flavor from it, employing generative AI to assist them in designing the recipe for Y3000 and also using the technology to produce the artwork displayed on its can.
