Apple services function best with Apple’s apps on Apple devices, although the corporation also offers web versions for select services on iCloud.com. Now the website has received a partial redesign. Apple has pushed out a new design for the iCloud.com homepage, which you view immediately after logging in. The former style was only a grid of icons for each service, such as Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Photos, iCloud Drive, and so on, but the new version has more info viewable without launching a single online app. Widget-like units, dubbed “tiles,” can show photos and lists right on the site. iCloud

There’s a “Customize Home Page” button at the bottom, which offers a view to add or delete tiles from the page. There are tiles available for Photos, Mail, Drive, Notes, Calendar, Numbers, Pages, Reminders, and Keynote. Apple also offers a typical grid of app icons, either in the “apps” tile, or in the pop-up menu that displays when you select the grid button at the top-right. Apple has put a + button at the top-right corner, which allows you to create something without launching one of the apps first. There are choices to start a new email message, create a note, set a reminder, establish a new Pages or Numbers document, and so on. Still, the new web page provides a better experience for whenever you need to check your iCloud data on a work computer or other non-Apple device.
