Prior to its actual release to the public, the corporation had already unveiled the redesigned Android Auto at the renowned Google showcase, I/O 2022.
Since I/O 2022, Google has only permitted users of the public beta to utilise the new "Coolwalk" UI, which is the name of the most recent iteration of Android Auto's user interface. Users can now update their systems to obtain the most recent smartphone experience in their infotainment system, according to a recent Google release.

For the split-screen display feature, Android Auto is putting a focus on three areas. The navigation process, communication capabilities, and media & entertainment via connected apps come first.
Maps will occupy the majority of the left-side screen for the United States because they will be closer to the driver. The right side of the screen will be divided in half horizontally, with a quick-access music player on the bottom half and communication apps like Google Messages and others in the top half.
The updated Coolwalk feature for Android Auto will also adjust to any accessible screen orientation in a car, including widescreen, landscape, or portrait.
Additionally, have a look at Android Auto's Coolwalk UI's Spotify Widget, which has split-screen navigation.
In addition to the Android Auto upgrade, Google is claiming that users may share their digital keys with their iPhones and adding digital keys for compatible cars on the Pixel device.
