According to reports, an Iowa stalker who allegedly purported to be the victim's relative was thwarted by Apple AirTag's safety feature.
It appears that the security measures implemented by the iPhone manufacturer to prevent stalkers were successful in the real world.
After an Apple safety feature informed the victim that a GPS gadget was tracking her, a man who is accused of stalking a woman he claims to be his wife was arrested.
Here is how the preventative system assisted in apprehending her stalker.
According to the most recent news report , a 63-year-old man from Iowa has been detained for allegedly stalking a woman using an Apple item monitoring device.

When the culprit was apprehended, he stated that the victim was his wife. But it turns out that they were never romantically involved.
In a recent story by
CW 39 Houston, it was revealed that the victim found out that an AirTag was attached to her spare tyre after receiving a warning from the item tracker on her iPhone.
The AirTag was apparently taken off the car by the West Des Moines Police after they learned this. The Apple monitoring device was then brought to the police station by the authorities.
The 63-year-old man appeared at the station the day after the police took the evidence. In search of the victim, whom he claimed to be his wife, he came.
The suspect acknowledges placing the AirTag as additional evidence that he was her husband. But he claims that he only did it because he believed his "wife" was having an extramarital affair.
He asserts that he attacked the station because he believed the victim was having an affair there.
Two other trackers were reportedly installed in the victim's car in addition to the initial AirTag that was found by the police in the spare tyre.

Despite delivering the first AirTag gadget to the police, the victim apparently discovered that two more were still tracking her after her iPhone warned her.
According to reports, this instance demonstrates how well Apple's AirTag's safety features deter stalkers.
It's important to remember that the
iPhone manufacturer unveiled the AirTag's enhanced safety features in February. It follows reports of several stalker instances involving the device.
