People could only have their 'Everyone' choice open for 10 minutes before switching to the 'Contacts Only' setting when Apple released the iOS 16.2 beta for China.  This time limit is now in effect for all users of the release candidate, which means that users cannot always have AirDrop enabled to receive files and other items from strangers. The fact that people in China can no longer use AirDrop for 'Everyone' for their purposes of disseminating information about their government has led to a great deal of criticism of this change. One of the biggest improvements in the iOS 16.2 Release Candidate, which Apple is currently distributing to developers and early adopters, relates to AirDrop for all iPhone and iPad users worldwide. Since AirDrop has a time limit and will automatically switch off after 10 minutes unless manually turned on, people can no longer make it always open for "Everyone." AirDrop While some users may not find this to be a problem, especially those who forget to disable AirDrop or switch to "Contacts Only," others may find this adjustment to be quite problematic for their devices. With their current structure for the Chinese market where they initially pushed out this feature, Apple did not provide any justifications for their decision. The prior modification in China, according to reports, was brought about by the country's government allegedly asking Apple to limit the AirDrop for Everyone feature to switch off at a specific time. Using this Apple function, Chinese protesters opposing the country's present leadership and president, Xi Jinping, disseminate information and other content among other iOS users. AirDrop There are still numerous features to look forward to when using the newest OS for their Apple devices, despite the fact that iOS 16's user interface and experience have undergone few changes. One of its major improvements is the Camera Roll, which allows users to use features like iCloud's Shared Album, where they can have a designated bank where other people may access it when it is captured. People also praise the new OS for having the unique PassKeys functionality for saving passwords and login information.
