Apple increased the cost of non-AppleCare battery replacement across all devices

Beginning March 1, replacing a battery in an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook will cost $20 more. Replacements for the iPhone 12 and 13 lines are out of the protection plan and not covered by AppleCare+. AppleCare+ subscribers can replace a battery whose maximum battery capacity is less than 80%. Those service costs $69 until March, after which $89. Several "older" iPads' battery replacement costs will also rise by $20. These include 12.9-inch iPad Pros from the fifth generation and older, 11-inch iPad Pros from the third generation and older, 10.5-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pros, iPad minis older than the sixth generation, and iPad Airs older than the fifth generation. A fourth-generation iPad Air battery replacement, for example, would cost $99 until March 1, then $119 after that. Battery packs for MacBook Air models cost $30 more, and MacBook and MacBook Pro batteries cost $50 more.
