The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are set for transition as Apple ditches Lightning for USB-C charging port. Apple went on to announce that it would also be replacing the wired charging jack on AirPods Pro which debuted last year with a USB-C charging port. Now the new iPhone 15 users will be able to charge their earbuds through the same cable for both devices. Also, users can now charge their AirPods from their iPhone, Apple mentioned it during the presentation event.
The new charging port is unlikely to have any impact on the charging speed of the AirPods case.
The latest AirPods Pro with a USB-C case is available for pre-order with a price tag of $249 but you need to wait for it until September 22, Friday for its arrival.
The second-gen AirPods Pro has gone through significant overhaul over the company’s first version, with advanced audio quality. Improved active noise cancellation (ANC) performance can give you a better listening experience. Another major slew of enhancements including an advanced Transparency mode, a more immersive Spatial Audio experience, and an extended range of ear tip sizes for an even more convenient fit make it more interesting.
There are several noteworthy benefits, such as hands-free Siri access, effortless transitions between iCloud-connected devices, and the convenience of added volume control.
The AirPods Pro (2nd generation) have received upgrades, including USB-C charging compatibility, enhanced dust resistance, and the introduction of Lossless Audio with Apple Vision Pro. With the release of iOS 17, all AirPods Pro (2nd generation) models gain access to new audio features like Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness.
Furthermore, an improved IP54 rating for both the earbuds and the case provides extra protection against dust, making them suitable for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurous activities.
