With the acquisition of the animated short film for Apple TV Plus, Jony Ive and Apple have been somewhat reunited. The executive producer is Apple's former Chief Design Officer.
This December, Apple TV Plus, the company that makes the iPhone, will debut the animated short "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse." A new animated short film has been acquired by Apple Original Films, according to the most recent report from Patently Apple, and subscribers will be able to stream it in time for the holidays.
Patently The Cupertino-based tech firm Apple's streaming service is the first ever streaming platform to have won the Academy Award for best picture, according to the company's report.
Early this year, its original film "CODA" raked in the bacon, marking a milestone for the Apple streaming service. The Academy Award victory of Apple TV Plus has reportedly helped the streamer increase its user base, according to a Variety news article.
Following the best picture victory, the number of new subscribers to the service increased by almost 25%. Not to mention that its original movie, "CODA," received around 300% more views.
This time, Apple TV Plus hopes to increase the number of movies in its collection by adding a fresh animated short that will launch around the holidays. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse, a short film based on the same-named children's book, will debut on Apple TV Plus on December 25.
