Later this year, Apple will raise the cost of out-of-warranty batteries for all iPhone models older than the iPhone 14. The firm made the announcement on its website (via Reddit). Apple is also raising the cost of replacing iPad and Mac batteries. Beginning on March 1, 2023, all models of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 series, as well as previous iPhone models, will cost $20 more for out-of-warranty battery replacements, according to Apple. According to a calculator on the company's website that estimates costs, Apple currently charges $69 for a battery replacement on the majority of iPhone models. Customers who do not have AppleCare or AppleCare Plus for their devices will solely be affected by the price hike. Customers who have AppleCare + pay nothing for a battery replacement once their battery health has dropped below 80%. Update: Apple is also raising the cost of iPad and Mac out-of-warranty battery replacements. Replacement batteries for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro will cost $30 more each. The cost of newer iPad devices will rise by $20. On March 1, 2023, these price adjustments will take effect.
