Apple Removes Most Annoying Search Button From iPhone Home Screen-GadgetAny

At the time of Software update, every company releases a major software update that brings at least one or two features people don’t like. For example, for iOS 16, adding the Search button at the bottom of the home screen appears annoying for users.

However, the Search feature on iOS is helpful for quickly finding text messages, files, settings, websites, and photos; the new button is placed in a location where it’s easy to accidentally tap it, especially when scrolling through your home screen pages.

Moreover, when you mistakenly hit the new Search button, the Search feature pops up on the entire screen. Furthermore, you have to swipe out of it to return to your home screen, which is time-consuming.

Thankfully, there’s an easy fix to get rid of the new Search button on your home screen.

Steps to get rid of the new search button on iOS 16:

  1. Click on the Settings application on your iPhone, which already has iOS 16.
  2. Go to Home Screen and tap the Show on Home Screen button below the “Search” option.
  3. Instead of the Search button on your home screen, you’ll see several dots indicating your various home screen pages.
  4. Also, if you press on it accidentally, nothing happens.

Meanwhile, if you want to access the Search feature after removing the home-screen button, you can reaccess it by swiping it down from anywhere on your screen.
