Apple Studio Display Second Firmware Beta Update Is Available Now

Users of Apple Studio Display can now access and download the second firmware beta update. A fresh update is currently trickling out to Studio Display, two weeks after the iPhone manufacturer released the first firmware beta ever last month. According to The Verge, Apple released its Studio Display in April after it stopped selling its 27-inch iMac. And at $1,299, it delivers 5K resolution along with additional essentials like a microphone, webcam, and speakers. In addition, it has an A13 Bionic processor, the same one that powers the 9th generation iPad and the second generation iPhone SE. Furthermore, the Studio Display's 12-megapixel webcam was first somewhat janky. To fix its problems, Apple, therefore, released a beta firmware software upgrade. And this time, version 16.4 of the firmware was made available to consumers by the Cupertino-based company, according to a report. Additionally, the second Studio Display firmware upgrade is almost 600 MB in size. But the new beta release's additional features are not entirely obvious. Hence, what Apple is offering its users is quite mysterious. However, the iPhone manufacturer has published firmware updates in the past without providing any information on what is contained in them. Release notes for earlier AirPods and AirTags updates are also missing, which would have given us an idea of what the newest software offers. Despite this, earlier Studio Display updates frequently offered stability enhancements and problem fixes. More details

According to the Apple support page, firmware version 15.5 (19F80) fixed the 5K display's audio problem. Version 15.5 (19F77) made improvements to the camera and display. It "refines camera tuning, including improved noise reduction, contrast, and framing." Having said that, it appears that the latest version offers a few minor stability enhancements. Apple decided not to bother informing its users any longer. However, do not stress if you wish to update your Apple Studio Display. That is a really simple operation. Just make certain that macOS Venture 13.3 is installed on your Mac before continuing. After that is completed, go directly to System Settings. Choose Software Update after that. Finally, the new firmware upgrades should then begin downloading and installing after that.
