Apple has a dependable set of features to assist with mishaps, but if those don't work because the user doesn't have an iPhone 14, there are still other options. The Find My app provided its assistance in locating an unresponsive family member who was involved in a car accident following the recent Christmas celebration of a family in California.
Even though some users do not like the Find My app because they want to avoid pointless tracking by relatives or crazy ex-partners, it still proves to be a helpful tool in an emergency.

members used Apple's Find My app to assist.
Even though the driver in this instance had an iPhone, it did not have the capability to detect car accidents and call for emergency services.
Family members were quick to respond on this Christmas Eve, though, and cleverly used the Find My app to find their unresponsive relatives. With the help of the app, they were able to locate themselves and discover that it had stalled at the location they had last reported.

As a result, the family felt compelled to call the emergency services to assist and check on those involved in the accident, only to learn that they had been in one.
According to the reports, it's likely that the victim didn't have the iPhone 14 because it lacked the feature that would have made it easier to report these kinds of incidents. The family was still able to locate them and direct emergency services to them in spite of this.
Apple's
Car Crash Detection feature is currently limited to the iPhone 14 and Apple Watch in order to better optimise it for upcoming uses and requirements.

One of the best features of the
iPhone 14 lineup right now is that the iOS 16 operating system for the devices enables users to detect local and personal car crashes.
Now that there are so many tech features available on various devices, accidents are highlighted as well, especially in helping their owners get the fastest response possible rather than relying on themselves or others to make the call.
However, there have been rumours that the iPhone 14 and iOS 16 have "false alarm" notifications when detecting car accidents, which has been a problem for a while. Rescuers and emergency services have a difficult time carrying out their duties because the iPhone and its system are recent releases from the company.
