A fresh set of games for the PlayStation VR2 was unveiled by Sony, including a few that will be available on February 22. Fantavision 202X, a radical remake of one of the PlayStation 2's oddest launch titles, is the most notable game on that list. The information was released as a result of a recent Sony blog entry about PS VR2 games created in Japan. Five games are included in the article, and four of them are brand-new tech launch titles. The PlayStation fan favorite Fantavision, which debuts on February 22, stands out in particular because of its historical relevance. Fantavision is a unique puzzle game created around pyrotechnics that was released in 2000. Players must coordinate several fireworks colors to create a stunning light display. The original game also turns a little odd at some point, sending players into space. It is currently playable as a part of PS Plus' retro collection for those who are interested. The new version will incorporate motion controls while staying very close to the gameplay loop of the original. By moving their hands and pulling the trigger when there are more than one, players can catch fireworks. It will have a single-player mode as well as a replay feature that lets users control the camera on recordings. With its own Tetris Effect game, that format might end up being a clever fit for VR on Sony's new platform. In 2023, Sony plans to produce 2 million PlayStation VR2 headsets There were also some additional new launch titles announced. The Tale of Onogoro is a steampunk adventure game set in Japan. Kizuna AI — Touch the Beat! is a new rhythm game with 15 songs. Altair Breaker is a sword-based multiplayer game by Thirdverse. Dysynchronia: Chronos Alternate is a science fiction investigative game. Along with the new headset, each of those will be on sale on February 22. The blog article also describes a game whose release date is pending. The 5v5 online shooter X8 was created by Thirdverse. Two pictures demonstrate that players will engage in combat with both swords and guns.
