At CES 2023, MSI Might Feature The Ultimate Mini-LED Laptop Display

At CES 2023, MSI is elevating laptop displays, and it may have the market cornered for some time. Before CES, MSI unveiled the upgraded Titan GT77 HX, a laptop featuring the industry's first mini-LED 4K 144Hz display and some amazing specs. The screen also has VESA's DisplayHDR 1,000 certification, in case a 4K mini-LED laptop display at 144Hz isn't enough. This indicates that its maximum brightness is 1,000 nits. Additionally, according to MSI, it has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, which is comparable to laptop panels like the Alienware 34 QD-OLED. The Titan GT77 HX laptop may be the only one with this display for a long, according to MSI, which claims an exclusive collaboration with AUO and their AmLED display technology. It's likely that additional laptops will soon use it, but MSI appears satisfied that the Titan GT77 will be the first laptop to feature it. This type of local dimming enables the display to instantly and dynamically adapt to visuals on the screen. The GT77 Titan has 1,008 local dimming zones in total, which is comparable to expensive displays like the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8. Although HDR performance may be incredible, MSI didn't forget about color. The laptop is said to cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and MSI's True Color certification attests to this. In order to assure color fidelity, it is checked before assembly. Although we don't currently have specific information, we anticipate the Titan GT77 to include top-tier Intel and Nvidia chips (see our review of the MSI GT77 Titan from a year ago for background). We also anticipate the inclusion of a multiplexer (MUX) switch on the board, letting you to choose to only discrete graphics for maximum power or only integrated graphics for longer battery life, as well as MSI OverBoost, which provides the GPU and CPU with up to 250 watts of power.
