Vroom vroom! Yes, you read it right. Audi cars will soon allow its users to play VR games on the move. The latest news confirms that select Audi vehicles will support Holoride’s in-car VR tech. Gear up this summer! Starting from June 2022, models featuring Audi’s third-generation modular infotainment toolkit (MIB 3) –Audi A4, 6, A8, Q5, and e-tron– GT can take advantage of the new Holoride link.
What takes the holoride experience to the next level is its “elastic content”, which adapts to the movement of a car in real-time, journey time, and driving route. The idea is that, by linking in-game motion to the motion of the car, the possibility of motion sickness can be eliminated.
Also, thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, holoride boasts a completely wireless system with no cables running from the drivers’ console to the rear.
On January 7, 2019, Audi redefined in-car entertainment at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The brand claimed that in the future, backseat passengers will be able to experience movies, video games, and interactive contents even more realistically using virtual reality glasses. in Audi cars. The future is here now!
Although Holoride was once part of Audi itself, it expanded as a startup to further develop the technology for different manufacturers. Holoride also collaborated with Audi during CES 2019 for an in-car Marvel VR experience.
