One of the best webcams available is the Logitech StreamCam, but its original MSRP of $169.99 made it excessively expensive for what it could do. It is now on sale for a 41% lower price of $99.99, which is much more competitive.
The majority of the webcams that Logitech sells are variants of the Logitech C920 (such as the C922x Pro that we suggest), however, the StreamCam is a more recent model. It is a small camera with a 1080p resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 60 frames per second. It can be mounted on top of a laptop or display, or you can use a tripod.
All of those functions are available in webcams that cost half as much as the StreamCam; the major selling point here is the proprietary software. The Mac and Windows-only
Logitech Capture application (sorry, Linux users) allows you to alter the camera feed and alter the order in which video quality and framerate are prioritized. Similar to the Center Stage feature on some Apple devices, it can also crop and reposition the feed to keep your face in the picture. With Logitech Capture, you may capture videos on their own or as a source input for streaming programs like OBS, XSplit, and Streamlabs OBS.
The Logitech StreamCam has one drawback: it connects to a PC using a USB Type-C cable, which works brilliantly with newer laptops and PCs with Type-C ports but not so well with older PCs. Even worse, the wire cannot be (easily) replaced if it snaps or is chewed up by a pet because it is connected to the webcam.
