According to YouTuber NL Tech, Samsung's Galaxy S23 has a new feature called "Pause USB Power Delivery" that has been added to the Game Booster settings. Gamers and power users alike will appreciate this feature. When this setting is turned on, the phone will stop charging and send power directly to the hardware, avoiding the battery. This keeps the phone cool and keeps the battery healthy over time. It is wonderful news that the Pause USB Power Delivery feature appears to function without a particular charger. When you use a lot of power, like playing games, this feature stops your phone from getting hot. When you plug in your charger, your phone usually starts using energy to power the processor and juices up the battery. However, since the processor is better able to manage the device's thermals with bypass charging, overall heat production on the device should be reduced, resulting in more efficient performance (avoiding throttling, for example). On the negative side, owners of S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra phones are reporting that the feature does not appear on all of them; however, it is possible that the feature will be added in the future through a software update. Neither the One UI 5.1 changelog nor the Galaxy S23's introduction by Samsung mentioned Pause USB Power Delivery. As a result, it is unknown whether or not older Galaxy flagships will be able to use the feature.
