Based on Gmail content, a bug in Google Calendar generates fictitious events

Google Calendar mobile created arbitrary, fictitious, and nonexistent events as a result of an unexpected bug in the programme. The events, according to the users who reported the flaw, were created based on their Gmail content. A flaw in Google Calendar causes phoney events to be created based on users' Gmail content, including newsletters, purchase receipts, and delivery notifications. As per report  there was no discernible trend with this malfunction. On several accounts, though, a common event called "U.S. Financial Privacy Notice" was created. On Android phones, this appears as an all-day calendar event with a similar-titled reminder notification. Since Google didn't issue a comment, there is no clear explanation for how the glitch started. This is also not shocking considering that Google Calendar has allowed for this functionality ever since. When it first launched, Google said that "Your calendar can immediately be updated with events created by Gmail. You can keep track of things like flights and other arrangements with the aid of these occasions." Several users expressed their dissatisfaction with the app's ability to generate random occurrences on Twitter. Despite the problem's lack of a clear cause, Phone Arena revealed that there is a solution to prevent it from happening again. Users merely need to access Google Calendar's settings by tapping the hamburger menu, scrolling down to "Settings," selecting "Events from Gmail," and turning off "Show Events from Gmail." Users must first access Google Calendar Web by opening the website, tapping settings in the upper right corner of the screen, and then selecting Settings And. to access Events from Gmail, scroll down. To uncheck the item labelled "Show Events Automatically Created by Gmail in My Calendar," click the checkbox. The Assistant Reminder feature of Google Calendar was recently deleted, and users will now receive notifications that "Reminders are now Tasks." "Use Tasks to get reminded about your to-dos and keep track of them wherever you are in Google Workspace," the alert would instruct. Google moved reminders to the new Tasks protocol as a result. In addition, Google took the Reminders feature out of Google Assistant.
