Big trucks & heavy vehicles on display at CoolToday Park

Image credit : Your Observer At the annual Big Truck Day at CoolToday Park, children of all ages are welcome to explore a variety of operating trucks. The 27th anniversary celebration will take place from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. April 29, a Saturday. The Atlanta Braves and Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources collaborated on the event. More than 25 large trucks and heavy equipment, including tractors, bulldozers, fire trucks, and cranes, will be on show. Participants in the interactive event will be able to get a close-up view of specialized locomotives and use levers or horns while sitting in the driver's seat. The new Sarasota County Fire Department tiller truck, a unique vehicle with a rear axle that is steerable independently of the front axle, is included this year. Pedal car rides, guided crafts, games for kids, and tours of CoolToday Park are all free. Concession stands at the stadium will be open for business. In Venice, near 18800 West Villages Parkway, is CoolToday Park.
