Hedge investor John Paulson, who is now embroiled in a public billion-dollar divorce from wife Jenny, is reportedly already planning to wed nutrition guru Alina de Almeida, a source tells Page Six.
Last year, we exclusively disclosed that after 21 years of marriage, John and Jenny were divorcing and that he had already moved in with the dietician in his posh Fifth Avenue apartment.
According to a source, John, 66, and de Almedia, 34, may be getting married soon now that things have heated up. According to the source, she has reportedly been telling her friends that "he wants to have a baby with her and they are definitely getting married."
Ex Jenny was taken off guard by the breakup. We stated that she learned of John's divorce filing in November 2021 by reading about it in Page Six. John is reportedly valued at least $4.7 billion. Later, the notoriously secretive Paulson withdrew the divorce petition so that the couple could negotiate the conditions of their separation alone.
He has made it so embarrassing by moving so rapidly to get a girlfriend and file for divorce after a successful summer, without giving any notice or even showing any decency. He couldn't wait, which is impolite and inconsiderate, a source at the time claimed.
Ex-Jenny filed a $1 billion lawsuit against John in July, alleging that he had created a "secretive network of trusts" to keep money away from her. According to court documents, two of the three trusts had provisions that benefit "Paulson's legal wife," depriving her of the assets in the event of a divorce.
We noted that the ex-couple lacked a prenuptial agreement and that Jenny had previously rejected a multimillion-dollar payout.
With a $50 million plus Hamptons villa, a $50 million Upper East Side townhouse, and Paulson's substantial Puerto Rico interests, there is a sizable real estate portfolio at risk. According to a Page Six piece from November, the most heated argument involved a $110 million Palm Beach, Florida, house.
