Pose alum Billy Porter dazzled in yet another amazing outfit on Tuesday while attending the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards. Additionally, his buddy and fellow designer Christian Siriano made him a custom tuxedo gown in fuchsia for this year's awards show. Porter's ground-breaking velvet tuxedo dress was reminiscent of the one he wore to the 2019 Oscars.
"THE KING @theebillyporter in this custom Siriano tuxedo overlay gown tonight at the #goldenglobes! Bammm #billyporter, " Siriano wrote about the outfit on Instagram.

Furthermore, Porter, 53, is renowned for his eye-catching fashion choices at the largest Hollywood events. However, he previously admitted to PEOPLE that it would take time for him to realize his full potential as a fashion icon.
In October 2021, he remarked, "I'm not a drag queen, but it never occurred to me that Billy could play with the masculine and the feminine in my fashion silhouette."

Most importantly, his participation in
Pose was one factor that influenced Porter to start experimenting with fashion. The former FX series, set in the 1980s and 1990s, aired from 2018 to 2021 for three seasons. In addition, it follows a group of LGBTQ+ identifying individuals who were involved in New York City's ballroom scene.
"
Pose happened and I was like, 'Well, if there's any space where the character that I'm playing supported the choices of being gender fluid on the red carpet, it would be the show,'" he said. "I have to do this now. And that's how it evolved."

What's more
The most daring and unique ensembles Billy Porter has ever worn include his Oscars tuxedo gown and his Egyptian-inspired Met Gala ensemble. Porter, though, asserted that it is "not about me wearing a dress on the red carpet."
"It's actually not a dress. Balance is what I'm going for," he continued. "The conversation is in the balance."
