iQOO has said that one of its last Android smartphone launch events will take place in 2022. On the other hand, the device in question looks like a new version of the high-end Neo7. With this version, they plan to switch to Qualcomm chips, which will give them a better chance of getting on the global market.
Vivo's brand iQOO, which is focused on performance, has added a final touch to its premium mid-range Neo7 series of Android phones. It will be called the Racing Edition of its line, which seems to mean that the original MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor will be replaced by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
Other than the secondary Pro+ chip for its E5 AMOLED display, the device may have the same specs. On the other hand, the Neo7's 9000+ could be seen as one of its most unique selling points, since smartphones with that top-end contender platform are still hard to come by, even in the last days of its launch year. On the other hand, the fact that iQOO updated it with the more common 8+ Gen 1 could mean that this version of the phone could also be sold around the world.

iQOO does tend to bring Qualcomm-based phones to markets like India. For example, it has announced that its latest
8 Gen 2-powered flagship will launch there in January 2023. Maybe the Neo7 Racing Edition will join it there soon. But it will have to be shown to the public in China first, on December 29, 2022.
