Camila Cabello mocks her own pronunciation of 'Christmas'

In a recent video, Camila Cabello delightfully mocked her peculiar pronunciation of the word "Christmas." The 25-year-old "Havana" singer tweeted on Monday, "me before recording my version of I’ll be home for christmas (quismois)." Additionally, in the video, Cabello, who is playing a voice coach, says, "OK, so we’re just going to practice some phrasing, so repeat after me." The Fifth Harmony member then tries it out while dressed as herself, only to sing, "I’ll be home for quismois.” However, the coach gives up after making several more unsuccessful tries and tells Cabello, "It’s gonna be great," sporting a false smile. Furthermore, the Grammy nominee went viral the previous year when she mispronounced the holiday's name during a PBS performance of "I'll Be Home for Christmas" at the White House. People were astonished by Cabello's original interpretation of the Bing Crosby classic, which led to the resurgence of the "quismois" and "quiz mice" meme on TikTok this year. Moreover, another video, shows someone jumping with a caption, "Pov the quiz mice when they find out camilla cabello will be home for them,"  which has now received over 1 million "likes." Additionally, some fans remarked that Cabello sings "in cursive," while others questioned who approved her take on the song. One TikToker even asked, "I’m so sorry everybody but I will be canceling Christmas this year because wtf was that… why’d they let her release that." What's more Despite the criticism, the "Voice" judge made it plain that she dropped her version of the song on all streaming services this year, blatantly leaning into the meme. Additionally, Camila Cabello posted a picture of herself as a baby on November 5 on Instagram with the caption, "I recorded this mariachi cover of my favorite Christmas song last year on @amazonmusic." Related: ‘I had an affair to protect marriage – now I’m leaving my husband for BF’ "it’s out on all platforms now, and I’m still super proud of it. Enjoy,” she added.
