According to Corning, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, including the Ultra model, will be the first smartphone to include Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Can the Samsung Galaxy flagship actually withstand drops onto concrete in light of that? According to a report, Corning has stated that the Samsung Galaxy S23 will be the first device to have its brand-new Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The brand-new flagship lineup from the South Korean phone manufacturer has not yet been unveiled. However, the Gorilla Glass Victus version 2 will be used on the Galaxy S23 once the new flagship series launches on February 1. This was confirmed by glass manufacturer Corning. Its Version 2 is now prepared to make its debut alongside the eagerly anticipated release of the Galaxy S23 series, which includes a new Ultra edition. Can it withstand drops of concrete? As a result, the brand-new Samsung flagship lineup's drop resistance may experience a big improvement. Version 2 reportedly handles drops better, especially on hard surfaces like concrete, according to Corning. Therefore, it appears that the new Gorilla Glass has improved drop resistance. The new Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is the new standard for glass protection on smartphones, according to a news report. The most recent model should have no trouble withstanding a one-meter drop onto concrete. The new Gorilla Glass went above and beyond to concentrate on this. On smoother surfaces like asphalt, the most recent version can endure drops of two meters, matching the capabilities of the first Gorilla Glass Victus, which was used in the Galaxy S22 series. https://www.gadgetany.com/news/gorilla-glass-victus-2-may-save-your-phone-from-disastrous-concrete-fall/ However, how well it performs in Samsung's newest devices is yet to be revealed. The newest Gorilla Glass, however, promises "enhanced drop performance on hard surfaces like concrete," according to Corning. As a result, it is difficult to determine with any degree of certainty the new lineup's drop resistance performance just yet. In any case, Samsung will soon introduce its Galaxy S23 series. Therefore, all we can do is wait and see.
