ChatGPT, a new AI-powered chatbot, has crashed multiple times in the last week. The business behind the bot has asked users to "be patient" while it "scales up" systems and determines how to handle the influx of new users. We are experiencing unusually high demand. Please be patient as we scale our systems, the company said.
It was revived in a matter of hours, and by early Monday, people were wasting time on it. ChatGPT has been plagued by similar issues since its debut on Sunday.

ChatGPT crashed for at least eight hours on Monday, according to reports. The chatbot platform has become extremely popular in a very short period. Having only launched as a public beta on Nov. 30, ChatGPT crested well over a million users in five days. Gizmodo reached out to OpenAI for comment on the ongoing crashes.
The program is currently free to use, and when it works, it's truly amazing. It's unclear how long it will take to see the final product, or even if it will ever function as a full-fledged chatbot.
