A potential replacement for the Google search engine is the fully free browser-based platform created by OpenAI, which has been making waves in the online community. It works by providing you with a thorough, human-like response to a straightforward command or question.
Gizmodo reports that malicious parties have already tried to market smartphone versions of the platform through mobile app stores.
An app called "ChatGPT Chat GPT AI With GPT-3" in particular has appeared on the Apple App store with an outrageous pricing of $8 per week after a three-day trial. A $50 monthly subscription is also an option, which the publication says is even more expensive than the weekly price.

Despite being expensive and having no connection to OpenAI, the counterfeit platform has achieved a high download position in the productivity category of the Apple App Store, placing fifth overall and surpassing Google Docs. The software uses the authentic
ChatGPT logo to increase its credibility and has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 with over 13,000 ratings. A phony text-generator that debuted on Google's Play Store, according to
TechCrunch, was removed before it received 100,000 downloads.
Since it received global exposure, the ChatGPT ripoff was taken down from the Apple Software Store, but many people are still baffled as to how it ever made it through the company's app review process in the first place. The program was released three weeks ago, so it had plenty of time to receive this many positive reviews and ratings, according to
MacRumors.

Several of the same issues regarding ChatGPT's browser version were made by numerous users, including the fact that the chatbot frequently provides incomplete answers to questions. Users have also complained about the cost, the absence of a support staff, and the excessive notification volume.
Most significantly, there is currently no justification for paying for a separate membership because the genuine version of ChatGPT that is accessible online is entirely free to use.

However, it is probably due to the enthusiasm surrounding ChatGPT, which has periodically been "at capacity," making it necessary for users to wait in line to use the service. It's possible that people paid for the software in an effort to skip the wait.
The story of this specific ChatGPT mobile app may be gone, however there are rumors that an official OpenAI iOS app may be released in the future. Jason Calacanis, a venture financier and podcaster, recently stated on a LinkedIn post that he has access to a beta version of the software but did not provide any other information.
Currently, loading the AI text generator into your mobile browser is the simplest way to access ChatGPT on your smartphone.
