Kirstie Alley, the star of Drop Dead Gorgeous and Cheers has passed away at 71. True and Lillie Parker, Alley's children, revealed that the actress had passed away from cancer. Additionally, she passed away on Monday, True and Lillie said in a statement to PEOPLE. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother." Furthermore, the children recalled that their mother's "zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren, and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did." In addition, the Moffitt Cancer Center's "incredible team of doctors and nurses" were also praised. In closing, True and Lillie thanked Alley's fans, "We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time."
