This was disclosed, according to the South China Morning Post, during a roundtable at the Semicon China Executive meeting in Shanghai by a group of local industry insiders.  For executives, scholars, and government officials to exchange their perspectives, this event included a number of sessions. China's Chip Industry: Experts Remain Confident Despite US Restrictions Semi-Expert Statements President Chu Lung of China remarked that these restrictions, which target the nation's accomplishments and aspirations, will have a significant impact on the nation because he senses a potentially dangerous conclusion for the entire industry. Chu worked at KLA, a U.S. business that makes chip process control systems. According to Tang Wenkan, the deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information, China would continue to open its market to foreign investment. Despite the huge demand for mature node products and five industrial parks dedicated to chips, Shanghai is currently proposing to build more.
