A specialized Chrome plugin for Twitter verification checks whether users paid the contentious monthly payment in order for their verified accounts to display the checkmark.
With an $8 annual subscription now required of all users to obtain the coveted blue checkmark that serves to validate their identity online, Twitter Verification is currently undergoing a significant adjustment.
When enabled, the "Eight Dollars" extension will show more details about a user's post and reveal whether they used Elon Musk's new Twitter verification policy.
"Eight Dollars," a useful Twitter verification Chrome plugin built by Walter Lim and Will Seagar, will enable the public to distinguish between those who used the subscription service and those who are imposters. With false verification marks put on their display names, many people construct parody accounts or online personas.
With the aid of this tool, one will be able to distinguish between the verified accounts that are now included in the subscription service and those that are not and appropriately identify them in their Twitter feed.
Users merely need to download, load, and turn on this Chrome extension for it to work, adding tags to a tweet profile to distinguish between those who have been "Actually Verified" and those who have not.
Unlike earlier, when customers could apply for it for free, the tech CEO is slapping the $8 subscription over all users, and no one is exempt from paying for the service to acquire their blue checkmark verification.
However, there have been issues in the past with the lack of Twitter updates, but this time, Musk claimed that it will respond to subscribers.
