Colorado Woman Charged for Slashing and Strangling Her Tinder Date

Officials detained a Colorado woman for duct-taping her naked Tinder date, strangling him, and slashing him with a knife, before ordering food from DoorDash. According to a recently filed affidavit, the police charged 22-year-old Lauren Marie Dooley with multiple felonies last week for the bizarre attack on her 21-year-old Tinder date inside her Colorado Springs apartment. According to the affidavit acquired by WKRC, Dooley lured her date, whom she recently met on Tinder, to take off his clothing before reportedly having oral sex with him on the couch. The victim claims he agreed to her binding his hands and feet with duct tape at that point. The affidavit states that "[The victim] found it odd, but consented to it." However, according to the victim things took a turn when Dooley pulled out a kitchen knife and demanded that he go to her bedroom. "Fearing Lauren would harm him with the knife, he obeyed and got into her bed. Lauren climbed on top of him and proceeded to use the knife to cut his left shoulder,” according to the affidavit. Then, according to police, she allegedly choked him repeatedly while feeling for a pulse in his neck.

The affidavit states, "Lauren then used both her hands to apply direct pressure to [the victim’s] throat for approximately 20 seconds, making it difficult to breath. Lauren stopped, but only to procure a belt that she then placed around [the victim’s] neck. She tightened the belt for another 20 seconds, once more making it difficult to breathe. When she took it off, she checked [the victim’s] neck for a pulse.” After that, Dooley allegedly ordered food through DoorDash after that and threatened to kill her date if he shouted at the delivery man. Additionally, the victim told the police that Dooley consumed her food before getting into bed. Moreover, the affidavit claims that after she dozed off next to him, the victim ran away and called the police. On another note, the responding officers found the naked victim standing in the apartment complex's parking lot. Dooley was then accused of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, and menacing. Lastly, the initial hearing of the accused Colorado woman is set for Thursday.
