After two weeks on the run, a Connecticut father suspected of killing and dismembering his 11-month-old daughter was apparently apprehended. On Friday, December 2, 2022, Christopher Francisquini, 31, was arrested after a bystander recognised him from media coverage and called the police. He was held at a Waterbury bus stop. Francisquini is accused of killing Camilla, his infant daughter, on November 18, 2022, at his Naugatuck residence. Francisquini allegedly received a $5 million bond after being accused with murder with aggravating circumstances and endangering a juvenile. He has a lengthy criminal past and has been convicted of crimes like carjacking and assault. According to the New York Daily News, the father is accused of killing his infant daughter while on parole for an assault charge from 2012. Before fleeing, he is said to have torn off his GPS ankle tracker. Francisquini, according to the police, stabbed Camila before dismembering her body. Investigators think that following the murder, the suspect got into a fight with Camila's mother, who was unaware of her daughter's death, before cutting his GPS ankle tracker and stealing her smartphone before driving off in a 2006 Chevy Impala. A family member eventually found Camila's body. Her death was determined to be the result of neck compressions and stab wounds. Off Interstate 91, the car Francisquini fled in was found abandoned. Francisquini was captured on shocking arrest video being mobbed by police on Friday at 3 o'clock as he stood at a bus stop. He was encircled by cops, who pulled their firearms and ordered him to the ground. After Francisquini obeyed, police handcuffed him. The $10,000 reward for information leading to his capture was raised from the initial posting to a total of $25,000 prior to his arrest. The department's anonymous tip line received information about Francisquini's sighting, according to the police. Naugatuck Police Department said in a statement, "Francisquini's capture is a clear example of what can be accomplished when community members work with law enforcement to take dangerous individuals off the street." They added, "Within 28 hours of asking the public's help, he was taken into custody without incident and will now face justice," Daily Mail reported.
