Corsair’s Platform:6 is a modular standing desk designed for remote workers, content creators, and PC players. It will be for sale in the fourth quarter of this year, but Corsair’s website doesn’t show any prices for the desk or its many accessories right now.
Since Platform:6 will be available in multiple versions that can be customized through an online configurator, it’s hard to tell what comes standard and what can be added as a modular upgrade.
The upcoming Corsair Platform:6 Modular Computer Desk definitely fits into the second group, with its six-foot-wide surface, one-foot-by-two-and-a-third-foot extensions, and other adjustable features.
Features Of Corsair’s Platform:6
Corsair’s Platform:6 is a good choice if you want a lot of different features from one place, so you don’t have to put together parts from different companies. It seems to have something for gamers, workers, and creatives, with the last group getting flexible mounts for any 3D printing tools they might want to use.
The top-of-the-line Platform:6 Creator Edition is also the only one that comes with the new top-mounted Elgato Multi Frame pegboard, which can be used to put anything from cameras to controllers.
Every Platform:6 has a modular rail system with a metal T-channel crossbar, side rails, and a top-mounted rail.
Any Platform:6 can also have two electric motors, and the height can be changed with an LCD controller that has memory settings. Also, each desk has a Corsair RapidRoute wire management tray that’s big enough to hold power strips and a smaller cubby with USB Type-A and Type-C charge ports.
Platform:6 is made of either strong black laminate or standard dark walnut-stained rubberwood, which is better for the environment. You can get one sometime in the fourth quarter of this year for a price that hasn’t been announced yet.
