The adoptive mother of 10-year-old Jesse Wilson, Crystal Wilson, was detained in connection with the boy's death, according to the Buckeye Police Department. According to Buckeye Police Chief Larry Hall, who addressed at a press conference on Tuesday morning, December 13, Wilson was charged with one count of burying or concealing a body by a grand jury last week. On December 12, in the late afternoon, she was taken into custody at her Georgia home in Gainesville. Early on July 18, 2016, Wilson's residence in Buckeye's Sundance area was reported missing. According to ABC15, Crystal initially called the Buckeye Police Department to report that her son had escaped from their house. Police spent many hours looking for the youngster with the help of hundreds of community volunteers, including employees from the school Jesse attended. The FBI also assisted in the hunt, and the police did not rule out any possible foul play in connection with his disappearance. On March 8, 2018, a city employee in Buckeye found what seemed to be fragmentary human remains by the side of the road, not far from Broadway Road and State Route 85. A few days later, it was positively determined that those remains belonged to Jesse Wilson. His cause of death was judged to be "undetermined." Authorities claimed that Crystal had moved a few weeks before Jesse's remains were found. By the time police contacted her with the identification, she had already relocated to Georgia. Wilson's biological grandma, Cynthia Lauderdale, also spoke forward to thank the investigators for their assistance. "Jesse is very much loved by us and stays with us every day. We are aware that he and his mother are in Heaven "Lauderdale noted that Jesse's natural mother had passed away. According to the police, Crystal has not yet acknowledged exactly what occurred to Jesse. The murder weapon has not been located. Police believe neglect may have contributed to Jesse's demise. "Crystal is aware of what took place. She is not disclosing, "police reported. Based on statements, DNA evidence, and more evidence that placed Crystal close to the location where Jesse's remains were discovered, they made the arrest this week. According to information discovered by ABC15, Avondale police were called to the home in 2011 following many complaints about Crystal's five children being neglected and hungry. After checking for injuries and ensuring that the children were nourished, the responding authorities looked for evidence of abuse. The Wilsons' neighbors claim that the kids were frequently seen knocking on doors and pleading for food.
