The previous day, according to authorities, Ordonez entered a Rosenberg business, stabbed a man for whom he had previously worked, and then stole his tow truck. The baby was then kidnapped by Ordonez after driving to the Brooks Avenue home of his daughter's nanny, which led to the police issuing the Amber Alert.
