Police detained a man who was the Boston mother's boyfriend at the time of her disappearance more than 15 years after she went missing. On Saturday, 33-year-old David Pena was detained in Macclenny, Florida, and sent to Massachusetts. According to Boston Police, he was wanted by the Dorchester District Court on an outstanding murder warrant in relation to the killing of Felicia McGuyer, whose corpse has not been recovered. Additionally, the officials revealed that information leading to Pena's arrest was through interviews since McGuyer's disappearance, the most recent interview being in March 2022, reported Masslive.com. Kevin R. Hayden, the district attorney for Suffolk County, stated on the website, "Felicia McGuyer's family and friends have lived with her tragic absence for many years. While Mr. Pena's arrest and arraignment can never erase their grief, it can at least provide the knowledge that someone will be held accountable for her death." "She was 32 years of age when she disappeared, leaving behind her 10-year-old son." Since then, authorities have frequently requested assistance from the public in finding the young mother. In 2013, they posted a request for assistance on Facebook. Police said, "McGuyer's family is concerned for her safety and well-being. It is not common behavior for McGuyer to be out of touch with her son, other family, and friends." Lastly, it is anticipated that David Pena will be charged at Dorchester District Court. However, it's unclear at this time if he has hired a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
