As of right today, Volkswagen claims to have shipped 500,000 ID.-series cars around the world. The brand highlights this number as a significant benchmark for its long-term goals, which are currently anticipated to lead to the end of all non-electric cars in 2033. Additionally, it now suggests that the present ID range will have a number of successors before then. Volkswagen has officially said that there have been 500,000 electric ID.-series vehicles delivered globally. Despite the current "strained supply scenario," the business asserts that 135,000 of the units that are still on order are now being built, an improvement of 65% over the manufacturing condition in 2021. By 2026, up to 9 other siblings are expected to join its impending new member, the ID. Aero. According to Volkswagen, its upcoming electric vehicles will likewise be built on the MEB platform. The brand has also stated that it will continue to make "fast progress" toward its goal of ceasing production of ICE vehicles in Europe by 2033 by making its entire portfolio more electric, software-based, and emission-free.
