Apple is currently showing more advertisements on the App Store. While the shift alone could unnerve some advocates, it's the kind of advertisements that are being featured that are upsetting not only users but also developers who see gambling Apps advertised next to their apps. What you should know is as follows. Apple Search Ads "makes it easy to market your product on the App Store," claims the developer's website's News and Updates section about the platform. You can now increase app discovery across the App Store by using the new Today tab and product page ad placements, which users will see when they first visit, search for a particular app, and browse available downloads. Developers Complain About Apple Expansion of Ads on the App Store This action comes a few months after Bloomberg claimed that Apple was experimenting with including sponsored post results in the Maps app in addition to additional App Store advertisements in order to almost triple its current annual advertising revenue. Since that has actually happened, Apple is receiving criticism from the developer community. Several developers are dissatisfied that gambling advertisements are shown next to their programs in the new "You Might Also Like" section at the bottom of each app listing, as reported. In theory, Apple should restrict some advertisements to specific categories, like children's educational apps, but as developer Rob McAlavey pointed out, the corporation even displays advertisements for gambling in those categories. Developers Complain About Apple Expansion of Ads on the App Store Such a brilliant enterprise has been severely tarnished by the App Store. They are making so much money from gambling and deceptive IAPs that they are no longer even aware of the issue. The Today tab and product page campaigns begin on October 25, according to an email Apple just delivered to all developers. It's an additional strategy for raising the effective app tax rate, compelling developers to spend money on adverts on their own app sites to keep users from downloading rival apps. Although Apple hasn't publicly addressed this problem, BGR will hold off on updating this App Store story until we hear more information.
