Google-owned Youtube is trying very hard to keep its viewers glued to its platform and switches to a whole new strategy so that you never go to any other app. The recent addition of Shorts is being promoted heavily by adding a section on Youtube on Android TV. But the fact remains that not all are fans of content on mobile, for those who hate short videos and Youtube subscription fees, will only look into the content that the viewer wishes to see. The mobile app interface is also getting a makeover with tabs exclusively for the good old videos that Youtube is known for, Shorts, and live content. The tabs for subscriptions and libraries will remain intact at the bottom when you check out a particular page. While scrolling through the app and clicking on a creator's page, you will only get their content tab in Shorts. The main motive is to give you what you desire to see in plenty. The content creators can benefit from the Live tab which serves as a platform for their upcoming, archived, ongoing content. Youtube Shorts

Shorts and Live tabs will be removed from the general videos section as the creators have a dedicated space to display their content. Youtube hopes the viewers will find it easier to search for the stuff they are happy with this new feature and to stay away from the ones they do not wish to see.
