Do Not Disturb on Android devices can be a blessing. The last thing you want to hear when you're in a conference call or on the go is your phone buzzing and ringing from incoming calls, texts, and other notifications. However, occasionally you could have it turned on at the worst possible time, causing you to miss things that you really care about. One of the best messaging apps available, WhatsApp, has been working on a feature that will properly flag calls and video calls that you missed because DND was turned on. The beta testers are now starting to receive that feature.

The new DND flag for missed calls is present in WhatsApp's most recent beta, which has version number 2.22.24.7, and some users have reported seeing it after this update (via WABetaInfo). If you're one of the fortunate few, you'll notice a helpful tagline right under the missed call history item indicating that the call was silenced by Do Not Disturb whenever you miss a call because Do Not Disturb mode is active. A similar blurb will appear if you open the person's chat thread.
The person calling you won't be able to tell if you had Do Not Disturb on or off, but if you want them to know you weren't purposefully ignoring their calls, you can just send them a screenshot of the indicator.
In September, the beta for version 2.22.21.7 introduced this feature, although it was never really turned on.
