THE HAMPTONS, NEW YORK: On a recent broadcast of her daytime talk show, "The Drew Barrymore Show," Drew Blythe Barrymore admitted that she may spend "years" without having sex. "What's wrong with me that six months don't seem like a long time" the actress, producer, and talk show presenter joked.   As she and her co-host Ross Mathews discussed actor Andrew Garfield's choice to abstain from sex for six months in order to prepare for the 2016 historical drama "Silence," in which Garfield plays a priest. In response to Garfield's choice, the 47-year-old added, "I was like, 'Yeah, so?'" The 42-year-old Ross Mathews then said, "We really buried the lede there, I guess. Drew can go six months without a problem, according to the headline, but Barrymore corrected him, adding she could for "years." ". The Golden Globe winner divorced Will Kopelman, her third husband, in 2016. The couple has two daughters together, Olive, 9, and Frankie, 8. The actress has previously been married to Jeremy Thomas and Tom Green. Since that time, Barrymore has been leading a fairly busy life. It is obvious that her busy schedule, which includes caring for her children, hosting her own talk show, and building a successful career, has left her with little time for love. The "He's Just Not That Into You" star admitted to being "scared to find love again after her divorce and felt a part of her had closed" in a prior interview with "Today Show." She admitted on her show, "I'm not there yet. "I don't want to bring strangers home because I have two small daughters. Before I could ever consider introducing someone to my girls, I believe it would take me a very long time to get to know them." The actress said that she had persuaded herself that she had chosen to put off dating for a while, but "I don't think I've acknowledged out loud that it's truly because I have two girls," she said. When it comes to courting or falling in love, she describes herself as "old fashioned." Barrymore, though, admitted to Mathews that she had slept with a lover in a car last year.
