Only recently made official, the Intel Core i9-13900KS desktop processor has already topped two test lists. On PassMark and UserBenchmark, the new Raptor Lake processor has made an appearance, outpacing every other component on its path. The 24-core i9-13900KS processes data at a high base power of 150 W. The Intel Core i9-13900KS has been formally unveiled and is garnering a lot of attention. Now that it has appeared on PassMark and UserBenchmark, the 24-core, the 32-thread component has taken over the top rank in two CPU charts. Let's start with the latter benchmark. UserBenchmark has received a lot of flak for its muddled scoring methodology and obvious Intel bias, but it is still helpful for identifying new SKUs. The CPU received a mark of 135%, surpassing the scores of 129% achieved by the i9-13900K and i9-13900KF processors. In PassMark, a slightly more reputable benchmark than UserBenchmark, the Intel Core i9-13900KS has surpassed the i9-13900KF to claim the top spot for single-thread performance for desktop processors. Based on two tested samples, the i9-13900KS scored 4,848 points, giving it a marginal +3.15% lead over the -KF variant in this particular benchmark (high margin of error). The Raptor Lake part even managed to provide a very pleasing average CPU Mark result, which incorporates numerous CPU tests, with a normal TDP of a monstrous 253 W. When it came to single-thread or single-core performance, Intel frequently produced a CPU that was unbeatable in the past, but failed when it came to using many threads or cores. With its architecture of 8x performance cores and 16x efficiency cores and a maximum clock speed of 6 GHz, the Intel Core i9-13900KS appears to be living up to its specifications by setting new multitest records for Team Blue's retail desktop CPUs.
